RE-IMAGINING PUBLIC SPACE

TASK:
PART A: CASE STUDIES ON PUBLIC SPACES
In a group of four, we have to choose 2 existing public spaces globally that have been intervened in adapting to the pandemic situation. We will need to conduct case studies and investigate the intervention of public spaces to understand more about the tangible and intangible elements in public space.   
PART B – PUBLIC SPACE INTERVENTION: TAYLOR'S CAMPUS

 For the second task, we will need to initiate ideas on how our public spaces on campus could be intervened in relating to the affected COVID 19 pandemic. The outcome shall be in an info-graphic, diagram-descriptions manner to discuss the strategies/ideas/ based on your knowledge of the built environment.

PROGRESSION

Week 1

We having a discussion to choose a suitable public place for our case studies. We got extra two places for backup. After that, we separate our task into the case study part. Evonne and Joe Yee take the Domino's park while I and Xin Yan work on Tenri's station

Week 3

We got to choose our place of intervention in the campus, the entrance walkway. We have done some homework on the Covid implementations and also listing out the links and interventions in google documents so that we can check out more easily.

This task needs a lot of guidance from our tutor, Ms Renee. As to this, we need to always be aware of the comment and also suggestions from her to form our own way of implementation on the case studies. Always be open-minded to receive others' suggestions to make improvements. 

INTERPERSONAL
SKILLS

We need to discuss with our group members so that we can get our tasks evenly and also lend a helping hand to each and other. Luckily, all our group members are hardworking and won't procrastinate work. Through the process we all work together, having a lot of fun and learn from others.

THINKING AND PROBLEM SOLVING SKILLS

As the assignment is about implementations that means we should think widely to choose our site because not all sites will have covid implementations. I was tasked to do almost all the zoning and circulation. I realize that that need much thinking as I can't simply define the place and also the entrance or exit.
